The African Women in Leadership Organization (AWLO) in collaboration with The American Nigerian International Chamber of Commerce and the International Women’s Think Tank is pleased to announce the 4th Annual African Women in Leadership Organization Conference and Gala. The theme “African Women-Unleashing the Power, Inspiring Greatness” will be a special tribute to Women of the African Diaspora. This event is scheduled for August 24 – 26, 2017 at The Westin Perimeter Atlanta North, 7 Concourse Parkway, Atlanta, Georgia.
The Conference will be an inspirational platform providing “Her Stories”, leadership workshops, B2B meetings, male and female panel conversations, exhibitions, entertainment and exclusive tours.

Dr. Karmetria D. Burton, widely recognized as a dominant force in corporate diversity initiatives, Dr. Burton serves as General Manager with responsibility for developing and executing Delta Air Lines, global supplier diversity initiatives. Delta’s focus is to achieve the goal of industry leader in diversity and inclusion and Karmetria has been charged with providing the leadership, policy and execution to achieve that mission as part of the supply chain team. As a transformational leader, Dr. Burton has worked in various strategic management level positions with national and international responsibility involving diversity and inclusion for such companies as Xerox, AT&T and IHG (Intercontinental Hotel Groups) where she served as manager of supplier diversity,
Ms. Julie Okah Donli, appointed by Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari as DirectorGeneral of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP). The task of NAPTIP is to stop the crime of human trafficking.
