How to plan for success

Shaping the next generation of leaders

According to the NSF, more women than men graduate from college with a bachelor’s degree; however, men earn a higher proportion of degrees in many science and engineering fields of study. The AAUW 2010 report shows the alarmingly low number of women in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields.

In a world increasingly dependent on technology, the ability to code — that is, to write programs that make computers do things — is critical to the future of innovation and our economy. That means computer science is crucial for every student, especially girls.
